The ruling BJP-led Mahayuti is leading on nine constituencies out of total 10 in the district of western Maharashtra as per latest trends of state Assembly elections show on Saturday, said sources in election office here.
While in Shahuwadi constituency, Shiv Sena (UBT) candidate Satyajeet Patil was leading over sitting MLA Vinay Kore.
In a big jolt to opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), its prominent candidates including Amal Mahadik (Kolhapur South), Rajesh Latkar-Kolhapur north (independent, supported by MVA), Samarjeet Ghatge-Kagal (NCP SP), sitting MLA Raju Awale-Hatkanangale (Congress) were trailing behind.
While, minister Hasan Mushrif of NCP-AP (Kagal), Chandrdeep Narke of Shiv Sena (Shinde) (Karveer), Rahul Awade-BJP (Ichalkaranji), Prakash Aabitkar (Radhanagari) were leading in their constituencies.
