Sen is survived by his elderly parents, wife, and 10-year-old son. His family has decided not to bring his body back to Dharmanagar, and his last rites are being performed in Haridwar. The Ashram authorities are providing all necessary assistance for the funeral.
Palash Sen, a dedicated journalist, had been battling diabetes for the past two years. His health deteriorated significantly in November this year, leading to his admission to Jiban Jyoti Hospital in Silchar. Despite undergoing treatment for about 15 days, there was no improvement in his condition. Consequently, he was moved to Ramdev’s Ashram in Haridwar for better medical care. However, Sen’s condition continued to worsen as he developed various complications, including fluid accumulation in his chest. He was kept in the ICU, where doctors made efforts to improve his health, but unfortunately, his condition did not improve.
Throughout his treatment, Sen was accompanied by his wife and young son. His elderly parents, both over 70, are also dealing with age-related health issues. Sen’s passing is a significant loss to the journalistic community and beyond.
Palash Sen had a long and illustrious career in journalism, contributing to several newspapers, including Shandan Patrika. He dedicated 30 years to the profession and played a pivotal role in the establishment of the Dharmanagar Press Club, the second press club in the state after Agartala. Sen was also the North District Secretary of a journalist organization in the state. Beyond journalism, he was actively involved in sports and cultural activities in Dharmanagar.
Sen’s untimely death has left a void in the community, and various organizations have expressed profound grief over his passing. His contributions to journalism and the community will be remembered and cherished by those who knew him and worked with him.
