Tripura police seized 8000 Eskuf syrup bottles from Churaibari Checkpost

Agartala, September 26, 2022: Tripura police has become successful in seizing a bulk quantity of narcotic substances from a 12-wheeler truck which had been able to cross Assam-Tripura border after defying the tight security of the Bazaricherra police station.

Speaking about this seizure, Churaibari police station’s OC Debajyoti Debbarma said “On Monday morning, Churaibari police personnel stopped an Uttar Pradesh-bound 12-wheeler truck bearing registration number UP78C-3534 at the checking point. Police personnel searched the truck and seized 8000 bottles of Eskuf Syrup in 50 cartoons. The market value of seized items will be around Rs 40 lakh. The police have now registered a case and started investigation by keeping the truck in their custody”.

At the same time, the said truck reached Tripura after breaking through the tight security of Churaibari police under the Assam border’s Bazarichara police station. Hence, it is a matter of question, how come police of Assam state has become inactive.
