Agartala, 19th February 2025:   Miscreants launched a nighttime attack on the house of Debabrata Das located adjacent to Arundhati Nagar police station. The assailants not only vandalized the property extensively but also attacked the homeowner and an elderly family member. The family is now appealing to the Chief Minister for protection.

It is reported that the BJP-led miscreants are allegedly attempting to forcibly acquire land from Debabrata Das’ property for the construction of a road. It has been alleged that local BJP karyakartas are threatening Das to surrender more land than initially agreed upon.

Debabrata stated, “I had agreed to give land for the road, but they are demanding more than what was agreed upon. I cannot comply with their excessive demands.”

In protest, approximately 30 miscreants attacked Das’ house last night, allegedly beating him and his elderly family member. When the family tried to file a police report, they were reportedly intimidated.

Feeling helpless, the affected family has petitioned the Chief Minister for a fair trial and adequate protection. “We are begging the Chief Minister for our safety and justice,” said a family member. The locality hopes for swift intervention from the authorities to resolve the matter.
