Police Seize 127 Bottles of Illegal Liquor, One Arrested

Agartala, 8th May 2025:  In a significant breakthrough in its ongoing crackdown on illegal substances, the Tripura Police of Radhakishorpur police station has recovered 127 bottles of illegal foreign liquor during a late-night raid on Tuesday. The seized liquor is estimated to be worth around Rs 35,000 in the local market.

Acting on a tip-off from a confidential source, police personnel led by Sub-Inspector Biplob Das, along with the TSR force, conducted the raid at a residence in Udaipur Chandrapur No. 7 Colony around 9 PM. During the operation, one individual, identified as Nissan Dev, a local resident, was taken into custody in connection with the seizure.

Police officials confirmed that the raid is part of their intensified efforts to curb the illegal liquor trade in the region. Further investigation is underway to identify other individuals possibly linked to the operation.

Authorities have reiterated their commitment to continue such drives to ensure public safety and maintain law and order.
