Agartala, 12th May 2025: In a remarkable academic achievement, Barnali Das, a student of Sonamura Girls’ Class XII School has secured an impressive 429 marks in the higher secondary examination earning letter marks in all subjects. Her success has set a precedent for students in her school and community, inspiring many.
Barnali, a resident of Batadola village under Kamalnagar Panchayat in Boxanagar block has overcome financial hardships to achieve this milestone. Her father Anukul Das works as a pump operator with an irregular income struggling to support the family on a monthly salary of Rs 7,000 from the Drinking Water and Health Department. Despite these challenges, Barnali remains steadfast in her dream of becoming a lawyer.
Reflecting on her achievement, Barnali said, “I studied regularly, and it would not have been possible without the support of my family and teachers. I also worked as a home tutor. In the future, I want to become a lawyer and stand by the weaker sections of society.”
The headmistress of Sonamura Girls’ School, celebrating the accomplishment remarked, “Barnali’s achievement is a matter of pride for our school. We all wish her the very best for her future.”
