Agartala, 15th May 2025: The dead body of a youth was found hanging in the abandoned quarters of an electricity office in Jharjharia, Madhuban under Amtali police station. Authorities identified the deceased as 30-year-old Indrajit Bhowmik.
Local sources informed, Indrajit left his home yesterday evening for unknown reasons. Concerned about his sudden disappearance, his family and neighbors began searching for him. Their worst fears were confirmed this afternoon , when residents found his body hanging in the deserted electricity office quarters, located near his residence.
Upon receiving the distressing report, Amtali police station staff swiftly arrived at the scene. The body was recovered and transported to Tripura Medical College and Dr BR Ambedkar Teaching Hospital for autopsy.
Authorities have registered the case as an unnatural death, pending further investigation. Police officials stated that the exact cause of death will be determined once the autopsy report is available.
The tragic incident has left the entire locality in mourning. Indrajit’s grieving family, including his devastated mother, remains in shock over the sudden loss of their loved one. His father Parimal Bhowmik has been left heartbroken struggling to cope with the passing of his only son. Since the recovery, a somber atmosphere has engulfed the locality.
Amtali police have initiated a probe to uncover the circumstances surrounding the young man’s death. Investigators are examining possible factors that could have led to this tragedy. Further details are expected following the completion of the autopsy.
