27 voters from 7 families leave CPIM and join Congress at Kadamtala

Agartala, 16th May 2025:  Altogether 27 voters from seven families in the Kurti and Satsangam Gram Panchayat areas of Kadamtala assembly constituency renounced their affiliation with the CPIM and joined the Congress. The event took place during the ‘Save the Constitution’ campaign organized by the 54th Kadamtala Kurti Block Congress Committee.

The campaign began with a large rally in front of the Kadamtala RD Block, followed by a public meeting in Kadamtala Bazar. During the meeting, participants voiced strong demands for the arrest of ministers and MLAs accused of making derogatory remarks about the nation’s soldiers. The transition of the 27 voters took place on the same stage after the rally, where they were officially inducted into the Congress by receiving the party flag.

The joining event was attended by Congress leaders, including Pradesh Congress Committee General Secretary Abdul Basid Chowdhury, Secretary Chayan Bhattacharya, District President Ajit Das, and Block Congress President Manik Lal Das, along with other party workers. Leaders welcomed the newcomers, emphasizing their commitment to protecting constitutional values.
