Tripura Journalists Union holds Thanksgiving Ceremony honouring Indian Army’s Operation Sindoor

Agartala, 17th May 2025: A thanksgiving ceremony was held today at the Agartala Press Club premises by the Tripura Journalists Union to honour the Indian Army’s successful execution of Operation Sindoor in Pahalgam.

Beginning at 11 a.m., journalists, newspaper workers, and other media personnel paid tribute by placing wreaths before a portrait of the Indian Army. The event was attended by several journalists, photo-journalists, media personnel including Tripura Journalists Union President Pranab Sarkar.

Speaking at the ceremony, Sarkar said, “The Journalists Union at Agartala Press Club has come together to pay tribute to the brave operation carried out by the Indian Army against terrorists in Pahalgam. The Army has been undertaking high-risk missions to counter Pakistan’s actions in recent days.”

He further added, “Tripura may be a small state in the northeastern region, but this initiative has been taken to boost the morale of our armed forces. The Journalists Union is committed to taking similar steps in the future to honour the sacrifices and service of personnel from all three forces.”
