Agartala, 9th June 2025: Acting on a confidential tip-off, Ambassa police arrested five individuals suspected to be Myanmar nationals during a raid in Lalchhari. Authorities confirmed that the detainees lacked valid documentation.
Police sources informed, a report indicated suspicious activity in a house in the Lalchhari area. Acting swiftly, Ambassa police station personnel raided the location and arrested five suspects. During interrogation, the individuals admitted to being citizens of Myanmar.
Officials stated that no legal identification or travel documents were recovered from them. Their interrogation is ongoing, and a formal case has been registered under relevant sections as part of the investigation.
