Agartala, 25th June 2025: BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharjee today launched a scathing attack on Congress MLA Sudip Roy Barman suggesting the veteran leader is grappling with age-related ailments and covertly aiding the CPI(M).
Speaking at a public gathering in Ambassa Town Hall, Bhattacharjee said, “Sudip Roy Barman is suffering from old-age-related diseases. It is time he takes proper rest instead of making irresponsible remarks.”
His comments came in response to Barman’s recent statement regarding the tribal population of Ambasa, which drew sharp criticism from the BJP.
Bhattacharjee went on to allege that Barman has long engaged in “behind-the-scenes politics in support of the CPM.”
He added, “Everyone knows he has been helping the CPM from the shadows. His recent comments only reflect his declining judgment.”
