Agartala, 18th May 2025: Thirteen-year-old literary prodigy Oindrila Chakraborty, originally from Tripura and currently residing in Abu Dhabi, has released her second novel titled Shadows of Rosalia. The young author’s new work of young adult fiction has been published by Notion Press and is now available in paperback, hardcover, and digital formats on leading platforms such as Amazon, Flipkart, Kindle, Google Play, and Kobo.
A student of The British School, Abu Dhabi, Oindrila received high praise from her school principal, Mr. Ian Pugh, who wrote the foreword for the book. “Oindrila’s creativity and maturity in storytelling continue to amaze us. She is well on her way to becoming a celebrated voice in global literature,” he remarked.
Oindrila made her literary debut at the age of 11 with The Adventures of the Legendary Queen, which also earned widespread acclaim. One of her short stories was honored with an Honourable Mention by the Oxford University Press and the Emirates Literature Foundation. She also received the Young Author Reader’s Choice Award for her contribution to The Great Indian Teen Fiction Collective, a curated anthology by Notion Press.
Aside from writing, Oindrila is also an active podcaster, sharing reviews of fiction, non-fiction, and educational documentaries. Her interest in sustainability and global awareness is reflected in her participation in numerous initiatives and events. She was recently awarded a school scholarship for Creative and Performing Arts in recognition of her diverse talents.
