23-year old’s deadbody recovered at Kadamtala

Agartala, October 21, 2022: A dead body of a youth has been recovered from Ward number 6 of Baghan Gram Panchayat under Kadamtala police station on the early morning of Friday.

It is reported that the youth named Jahir Uddin Chowdhury (23) came back to his home from Bangalore on Tuesday last. However, his mobile was switched off since he left home on Thursday morning last on the pretext of going for walk. The entire day passed off, but Jahir did not returned home. 

On Friday morning at around 5 AM, when Jahir’s mother went out of their house, she found Jahir was lying on the balcony of the half-constructed building in their house complex. She saw injury marks on his body and head.

Hearing hue and cry of the woman, neighbours rushed to the spot and police were informed. Kadamtala sub-division’s SDPO Soumya Debbarma and Kadamtala OC Sushanta Deb rushed to the spot along with dog squad to track out some clue in connection to the dead body recovered on Friday morning. The family suspects that their son was murdered.
