45-year old man drown in Khowai river, search operations underway

Agartala, 27th April 2024:   A local resident named Dipak Das (45) has been reported missing after he slipped and fell into the Khowai River while having bath. The incident took place on Saturday noon, has sparked a wave of concern in the Chakmaghat area under Teliamura police station.

Upon receiving the distress call, personnel from the Teliamura Fire department were immediately dispatched to the scene. They have been joined by local residents in a concerted effort to locate and rescue Das, who is believed to have drowned. At the time of reporting, the search operation is still ongoing.

Das, a permanent resident of Chakmaghat, had been living in Agartala due to work commitments. He had returned home yesterday to cast his vote. His sudden disappearance has left the local community in shock.
