45th Foundation Day: TSU to continue struggle for students’ welfare

Agartala Aug 19: On the organization’s 45th foundation day, the Tribal Students’ Union (TSU) gave the message to continue its struggle against privatization of education. On August 19, 1978, the movement of the Tribal Students Union began with a two-day conference in Khowai Sub-division holding the hands of then Minister Aghore Debbarma. 44 years have passed since then. Every year, the leaders and workers of TSU celebrate the foundation day of the organization with due dignity.

Friday morning, the main event was held at the Melarmath Chhatra-Juva Bhavan. There the flag was hoisted by Netaji Debbarma, president of the Central Committee of the Tribal Students’ Union. General Secretary of the organization Sujit Tripura, SFI State Secretary Sandipan Dev and others were present at the program.General Secretary of TSU Sujit Tripura said that the organization will continue to its movement against privatization of education by the ruling BJP government.
