547 Kg of cannabis seized in Dhalai; Two detained for questioning

Agartala, 29th November 2025:  In Ambasa, Ganganagar Police seized a massive 547 kg of dried cannabis, valued at nearly 2 crore, during a naka-check at Nanka point.

A vehicle attempted to flee after breaking through a barricade but was chased down and abandoned at Purna Joy Para. Another vehicle found nearby also contained packets of dried cannabis.

Two individuals from South Tripura district were detained for questioning. Several fake number plates were recovered from the vehicles.

SDPO Nirupam Dutta, OC Gautam Debbarma, and Inspector Babul Mahajan supervised the operation.
