Agartala, June 05, 2023: The 71st Battalion of CRPF observed “World Environment Day” with great enthusiasm. On this auspicious occasion the battalion officials have organized a massive plantation drive programme too.
During plantation various saplings of plants were planted at the surrounding area of 71 BN Headquarters, Khumulwng, & other important land marks.
On this occasion Ram Palat, Commandant of the 71st Battalion of CRPF addressed the unit officers, subordinate officers and personnel about the importance of environment and eco-friendly activities and also conducted oath taking ceremony.
The programmes were started on May 19 last with various activities like, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle Campaign, pond cleaning, plastic waste collection, bicycle rally etc. under the theme of “Mission Life”.
The programs aimed to raise awareness about degrading environment conditions and to encourage people to take positive environmental actions, to help create a better future and do eco-friendly activities and thereby contributing towards a green and healthy environment.
