ABVP protest against Tripura University’s mismanagement at Ramkrishna Mahavidyalaya, Kailashahar

Date:

Agartala, 18th   May 2026:  The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) staged a fierce protest at Ramkrishna Mahavidyalaya on Monday, accusing Tripura University of gross mismanagement and negligence in publishing examination results.

Hundreds of students gathered outside the office of Principal Dr. Ajit Barman around noon, raising slogans and burning an effigy of Acting Vice-Chancellor Dr. Shyamal Das. The demonstrators alleged that despite appearing for exams properly, many students were unfairly marked with “back” papers. They further complained of delays in online result publication, discrepancies in marks, and administrative failures that have left thousands of students under severe mental stress.

ABVP leaders including College Secretary Pramotosh Pal, City Secretary Sneha Sutradhar, and Unakoti District Coordinator Anup Majumdar joined the protest. Student leader Ankan Pal declared, “Tripura University’s administration is playing with the future of students. Wrong results, delayed online publication, and unresolved complaints are shameful. If these issues are not resolved within 15 days, ABVP will launch a larger movement. No one has the right to destroy the future of students.”

The organization warned that mere assurances would not suffice. They demanded immediate corrective measures from the university administration, failing which the agitation would intensify further.
