Agartala, 3rd March 2025: A vehicle accident took place in the Jamadar Para area under Takarjala police station. Before the police arrived, the accused driver fled the scene. It is suspected that the vehicle was being used for trafficking activities.
The vehicle with its registration number concealed was reportedly involved in the drug trade. The accident has caused a stir in the Jamadar Para area. Witnesses reported that one of the eight vehicles involved in the drug trade met with an accident, after which the other vehicles quickly transferred the illegal narcotics to another vehicle and fled the scene.
Upon receiving the news, the Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Takarjala police station Rathindra Debbarma and his team rushed to the spot today. The police have recovered the accident-hit vehicle and taken it to the station. According to the locals, drug traffickers have been using the Takarjala and Jampuijala roads under the cover of darkness to smuggle narcotics every night.
