Agartala Municipal Corporation holds meeting to solve city problems and plan for Durga Puja

Agartala, September 15: The Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) held an important meeting on Friday at its office in the city center to discuss various issues related to the city and its residents. The meeting was attended by AMC Mayor Dipak Majumder, Deputy Mayor Manika Das Datta, Corporators of various wards, Corporation Commissioner Sailesh Kumar Yadav and others.

The meeting focused on two or three main topics, according to the Mayor. One of them was the month-long Swachh Bharat Abhiyan program that will start from September 17 across the country and the states. The program will include Sevai Swachta, Safai Mitra, Protection camp programs to promote cleanliness and hygiene in the city.

Another topic was the upcoming Durga Puja festival that will be celebrated in October. The Mayor said that the meeting discussed how to ensure that people can watch Durga Puja without any hindrance and enjoy the festive spirit. He said that discussions will also be held with the officials of various clubs that organize Durga Puja in the city.

The Mayor said that the meeting was called to solve the problems of the residents of Agartala and to beautify the city. He said that the AMC is working hard to provide better services and facilities to the people and to make Agartala a smart city.
