Agartala Press Club plans year-long celebrations for its 40th anniversary starting from January 30

Agartala, January 20: The Agartala Press Club is set to commemorate its 40th anniversary with a series of events throughout the year, starting with a vibrant procession scheduled for January 30, 2024. The procession will commence at 11:30 am in front of the Agartala Press Club, traversing key landmarks including Ujjayanta Palace, Kaman Chowmuhani, Post Office Chowmuhani, RMS Chowmuhani, Orient Chowmuhani, and Rabindra Bhavan before returning to the Press Club. Members of the Agartala Press Club, along with journalists and news workers, are cordially invited to participate in this celebratory event.

In preparation for the milestone anniversary, several meetings were held with senior members of the Agartala Press Club to ensure the success of various events planned for the year. Based on their valuable input, the Press Club has outlined a diverse range of activities, including seminars, exhibitions, receptions, tree plantations, media quizzes, workshops, souvenir releases, sports competitions, and cultural programs.

The celebrations aim to not only commemorate the four decades of the Agartala Press Club’s existence but also to foster a sense of unity and camaraderie among its members. The events are designed to engage and entertain the club’s community while highlighting the crucial role played by journalists and news workers in the region.

The Agartala Press Club encourages active participation from its members and the broader journalistic community, emphasizing the significance of collectively celebrating the rich history and contributions of the press club.
