‘Agmani Porbo 1’ – exhibition and sales centre to start in Dharmanagar from Sept 16

Agartala, September 15, 2022: The ‘Agamani Porbo 1’ – a special exhibition and sales centre is going to start on September 16, 17 and 18 next at Vivekananda Swardha Satabarshiki Bhavan here in Dharmanagar city. This exhibition and sales centre is completely run by women, will present all the articles of dress, cosmetics, and modesty of women and Bengali men in the pre-puja moments. Besides, the sellers will be present with various home-made food items.

The entire event is hosted by housewife Shivani Chumki (The Mon Amar Cosmetics), Debjani Nath Chowdhury (The Unique Collection) and Antara Datta (Era Jewellery).

On September 16 at 5 pm, the exhibition will be inaugurated by the Deputy Speaker Biswa Bandhu Sen, Dharmanagar Municipal Council chairperson Pradyot Dey Sarkar and vice-chairperson Manjurani Nath will be present. This exhibition will open at 2 pm and continue till 9 pm on these three days. A total of 18 sellers joined this exhibition will bring their own home-made goods to attend the exhibition from Dharmanagar and Agartala, the entrepreneurs said in a press conference here in Dharmanagar on Thursday.

The main objective of this exhibition and sales centre is to make women self-reliant. This exhibition and sales centre aims to enable the women of the house who finish their household chores to present their artworks in their spare time. Prominent circles are of the opinion that such an exhibition is going to be held for the first time in a place like Dharmanagar.
