Agartala, June 19, 2023: The Tripura SCATFORM Project took the initiative to organize a grand Agro Forestry Fair at the Amarpur old town hall in Gomati district. The event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of numerous beneficiaries of the Tripura SCATFORM Project. Rampada Jamatia, the esteemed MLA of Bagma constituency, inaugurated the fair in the presence of distinguished guests from relevant departments.
The primary objective of this inspiring program was to raise awareness about the benefits of Agroforestry plantation among the RoFR (Rights of Forest Resources) landholders. To equip the beneficiaries with practical knowledge and insights into the SCATFORM Project, department officials offered valuable tips through resource persons and screenings. The resource persons focused on imparting techniques for effective implementation of the SCATFORM Project, specifically targeting indigenous beneficiaries.
Participants from various parts of the subdivision attended the program, gaining valuable practical knowledge about the SCATFORM Project. Among the honored dignitaries were MLA Ranjit Das, who served as the chief guest, Prasanta Badal Negi (IAS), SDM Amarpur, Chaman Lal Negi, director of SCATFORM, Dr. NK Chanchal (IFS), DFO Gomati, Jash Pal Debbarma (TFS), SDMU, and many others.
The Agro Forestry Fair served as a platform to promote sustainable agricultural practices and encourage the adoption of Agroforestry techniques. Through informative sessions and interactions, the event successfully facilitated the dissemination of knowledge and practical guidance to the beneficiaries, empowering them to implement the SCATFORM Project effectively.
