Agartala Nov 15: 144th birth anniversary of Santhal hero and religious leader Birsa Munda was observed today across the state by various organizations.All India Kisan Sabha (AIKS) also observed the birth anniversary of Birsa Munda in Melarmath Office premises.
After the flag hoisting ceremony, the central program was held in Paradise Chowmaniu area where senior AIKS leaders Pabitra Kar, Motital Sarkar and others remained present.Addressing the program, Pabitra Kar announced that the 35th national conference of the AIKS will come off in Kerala from December 13-16.He also added, “Birsa Munda’s birth anniversary flag will remain aflutter for one month”.
