Agartala, October 30: The eagerly awaited festival of lights, Diwali, is set to illuminate the skies on November 12, 13, and 14, and preparations are in full swing across Tripura. Kali Temples, dedicated to the goddess Kali, are being adorned with decorations in various locations to mark this joyful occasion.
An administrative meeting was convened at the Natun Bazar police station, led by Sub-Divisional Police Officer Debanjali Roy, in collaboration with the Kali Puja Committee members of the Nutan Bazar area on Monday evening. Sub-Divisional Police Officer and Nutan Bazar Police Station OC, Subimal Barman, were also in attendance.
The primary aim of this meeting was to ensure a peaceful and incident-free atmosphere in the new market area during the three-day Kali puja festival, which coincides with the Diwali celebration. Amarpur Sub-Divisional Police Officer Debanjali Roy emphasized the importance of these administrative meetings, which are conducted to facilitate a tranquil environment during this significant Bengali festival.
Furthermore, the police officials assured the community that there will be no extortion attempts during the Puja, allowing people to celebrate the Diwali festival, akin to Durga Puja, in a serene and secure manner. The administrative preparations and collaborative efforts underscore the commitment to making this Diwali celebration a harmonious and memorable occasion for all.
