Ambassa MC & SDM observe International Women’s Day

Agartala, 7th March 2025:  On the occasion of International Women’s Day 2025, a celebratory event was organized today at the Ambassa Town Hall under the initiative of the Ambassa Municipal Council. The program was supported by the Ambassa Sub-Divisional Administration and a social organization named Bithan.

Chairperson of the Ambassa Municipal Council Pratima Malakar along with other dignitaries inaugurated the event. The celebration aimed to honor women from various walks of life, with a special focus on their contributions to society.

Samiran Roy, the Deputy CEO of the Ambassa Municipal Council and the event convener announced that 15 women would be felicitated during the event. Additionally, 150 women would receive health kits containing essentials such as iron tablets, calcium tablets, vitamin supplements, soybean packets, and milk packets. Each kit is designed to last for one month.

The dignitaries highlighted the significance of International Women’s Day in their speeches, emphasizing the importance of women’s empowerment. Notable attendees included Pratima Malakar, Chairperson of the Ambassa Municipal Council; Sanjit Debbarma, Sub-Divisional Magistrate and CEO; Samiran Roy, Deputy CEO; and other distinguished guests. The event witnessed significant participation from women, reflecting its inclusive and celebratory spirit.
