Agartala, July 28, 2023: Mayor Dipak Majumder visited various areas of Agartala Municipal Corporation on Friday, as part of his routine inspections. He toured the Mantri Bari Road and Rabindra Pally areas under Ward No. 32 of the city, engaging with the locals and discussing the issues faced by the community.
During the visit, Mayor Majumder addressed the need for drainage improvement and road repairs in the area, as per the demands of the residents. He emphasized the urgency of undertaking these tasks promptly. The Mayor also pointed out that the Communist-led Agartala Municipal Corporation has not been functioning efficiently in this locality for the past 25 years.
Speaking to the media, he asserted that strict actions will be taken against those responsible for neglecting the construction materials left abandoned on roads or hindering the progress of drainage work. He assured the residents that the municipal corporation is open to seeking their assistance in resolving these issues. The primary goal behind such measures is to beautify and enhance Agartala city while ensuring that civic services reach the people effectively.
Mayor stated that the BJP-led Agartala Municipal Corporation is committed to fulfilling the promises made to the public and is actively working towards making the city a smart and well-serviced place. The focus lies in improving the aesthetics of the city and enhancing civic services. To achieve this goal, he has been conducting regular inspections of various wards in the Agartala area. During this particular visit, he was accompanied by officials from the Municipal Corporation, as well as local residents who highlighted specific issues in the area.
