Agartala, 4th May 2025: Despite facing significant challenges, Adrija Nath, a student of PM-Shri Dharmanagar Government Higher Secondary School has achieved an impressive 93.80% in the secondary examination for the academic year 2024-2025. Her success is attributed to the unwavering support of her schoolteachers, including Assistant Headmistress Suparna Ghosh and several dedicated educators.
Additionally, home tutors played a crucial role in her academic journey, with Dulal Chandra Nath (Social Studies), Jhantu Debnath (Science) and Sanjay Pal (English) guiding her through essential subjects. Teachers such as Biswajit Bhattacharya (Biology), Jyotish Chakraborty (History, Political Science) and Swarup Sen (English) provided critical last-minute explanations before her final exams, contributing to her remarkable performance.
Adrija’s path to academic excellence has not been easy. After losing her father in 2021, her younger aunt Amita Nath stepped in to shoulder most of the financial responsibilities for her education. Her mother Babli Debnath along with her extended family including her maternal uncle Dilip Debnath have supported her passions beyond academics, including dance, singing, and drawing.
Her dedication to performing arts has also yielded notable achievements. In the 2023-2024 academic year, she secured second place at the national level in the fifth-year Rabindra Dance examination, organized by the Bengali Sangeet Parishad. This year, she is preparing for the fifth-year Nazrul Dance examination while continuing her classical and folk song lessons under the guidance of her dance teacher, Sangeeta Datta.
Despite financial constraints that prevent her family from arranging private tuition at home, Adrija remains determined to pursue science to achieve self-reliance. For specialized coaching, she will need to travel far from home to seek guidance from experienced educators. With resilience, dedication, and hard work, she continues to shape her future against all odds.
