Agartala, 18th July 2026 :Amtali Police on Saturday returned 19 recovered mobile phones to their rightful owners after tracing them through the Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) portal.
The phones had been reported lost or stolen over the past several months, following which their owners lodged complaints at Amtali Police Station.
Using advanced technology and the CEIR platform, police successfully traced and recovered the devices. Officer-in-Charge Inspector Paritosh Das handed over the recovered phones to their respective owners at the police station on Saturday afternoon.
