Agartala, April 06, 2023: The Tripura Anganwadi Workers and Helpers Union on Thursday gave deputation to the Social Welfare and Social Education department demanding to solve their problems and hurdles faced by them at Anganwadi Kendras of the state.
After the announcement of election results on March 02 last, Anganwadi workers claimed that they are facing various difficulties to manage their task in various Anganwadi kendras. Hence, on Thursday, they gave a deputation to the Directorate of Social Welfare and Social Education demanding to resolve their problem so that they can perform their duties smoothly.
The copy of memorandum has been handed over to the Director of SW&SE department Smita Mol by the TAWHU’s general secretary Kajal Rani Sarkar, Panchali Bhattacharjee and others.
Anganwadi workers and helpers are being forcibly evicted from various places. It is also demanded to stop such activities immediately. Panchali Bhattacharjee, who was present, said that since the election, Anganwadi workers have been harassed in various ways. Even selectively asking Anganwadi workers not to go to work. Panchali Bhattacharjee said that deputation has been given on the basis of three-point demand to get out of such unrest.
