Agartala, June 29, 2023: Members of the All Tripura Government Doctors Association express their deepest condolences to the bereaved family members of those killed in the accident at ‘Ulto Rath Yatra’ festival at Kumarghat on Wednesday last.
ATGDA in a press communique informed “May the souls of those who lost their lives rest in peace and pray for the speedy recovery of the injured. Chief Minister and Health Minister of the state Prof Dr Manik Saha rushed to Kumarghat by train as soon as he got the news of the accident and took measures to treat the injured.”
“The Prime Minister of India Narendra Damodar Das Modi expressed deep grief over the incident and assured deep condolences and financial assistance to the family members of the deceased and injured.”
ATGDA applauds the state government and the central government for their swift presence in the post-accident community. “Our only wish is that we never have to see a repeat of such a tragic and heart-breaking incident”, statement added.
The statement also informed “We are eternally grateful to all the health workers of Kumarghat sub-divisional hospital, Fatikroy Primary Healthcare Center, District Health Officer Dr Shankha Shubhra Debnath, Chief Medical Officer Dr Don Darlong for the way they rushed to serve the injured. The rest of the injured are undergoing treatment at Agartala Government Medical College Trauma Care Center and Plastic Surgery Department. Last night, Dr Supriya Mallik, Dr Sanjib Debbarma, Dr Shankar Chakraborty and other senior members of the organization engaged themselves in this treatment.”
“This service delivery and performance from ground zero in terms of proper communication, coordination and overall service delivery will guide ATGDA in the future as well”, press release also mentioned.
