Agartala, February 22, 2023: An auto-rickshaw loaded with 60 bottles of foreign liquor was seized by the police from Tilla Bazar area in Belonia city.
It is learned that on Wednesday morning, the police of Belonia police station received a tip-off that there was a large amount of alcohol in an auto-rickshaw vehicle in Tilla Bazar area of Belonia city.
Accordingly, raids led by SI Rahul Jamatia of Belonia police station recovered 60 bottles of foreign liquor of different brands from an auto-rickshaw vehicle bearing registration number TR08A-2436.
The auto-rickshaw driver Khagendra Dey was also arrested. He was brought to Belonia police station. Paritosh Das, OC of Belonia police station told this to the media personnel.
