“Beti Bachao Beti Padhao” turns nightmare; 3rd rape case in 7 days in Tripura

Agartala Oct 27: In a situation when the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party is running a “Sushashan Campaign” in the state, the state government’s massive failure to keep the law and order stable has surfaced in front of the common people.

Amid protests by different political parties and organizations are yet going on centring gang rape incidents of two minor girls, in Kumarghat and Kalyanapur, one more incident of rape case was reported on Thursday from Kailasahar.

OC of Irani Police Station Jahangir Hossain said, Ahid Ali, a resident of Pakhir Bazthe victim minor girl reported ar village under Isabpur village Pnchayat in Kailasahar kidnapped a minor girl on October 25 from an area under Irani Police station and raped the minor girl for entire night. And a day later on October 26 he sent the girl back home.The victim girl reported the entire incident to her parents when the family members lodged a written complaint with the Irani PS against the accused Ahid Ali.

After a medical examination of the victim girl, police registered a case with Case no. 85/2022 Under Sections 363, 373 and POSCO Act and detained accused Ahid Ali on Thursday.OC Jahangir Hossain added that the accused admitted his heinous crime during Police interrogation and was produced before the Kailasahar Court today.
