Agartala, October 27, 2022: A body of a person was recovered from the canal today. The incident took place at Gamaibari under Teliamura police station. The deceased was identified as Tuton Biswas (43) a resident of Gamaibari area of Teliamura. Tuton Biswas’s wife alleged that a person has called Tuton on Wednesday afternoon and he came out of home but didn’t return.
When he was not returning, his family has started searching of him but couldn’t trace him. Finally today morning the local people found the body of Tuton Biswas floating in the canal water near his house. After hearing about the incident, Tuton’s wife, daughter and family members rushed to the spot. Teliamura police was informed. The police recovered the body from the spot and took it to the Teliamura Sub-Divisional Hospital for post-mortem. Meanwhile, the wife of deceased alleged that Tuton was murdered. A few days ago, Tuton had an argument with an employee of a sweet shop in the local Bandar Choumuhani Bazar over some issue. The police have taken up an unusual death case and started investigating the incident.
