BJP fostering division among people: Asish

Agartala, 13th November 2024:    Pradesh Congress Committee President Asish Kumar Saha today expressed concerns over the current political climate, alleging that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is fostering divisions among the populace.

Saha said this while leading a solidarity march today with the vision of a development-oriented, united, secular, and progressive India. Led by state Congress President Ashish Kumar Saha, the event attracted significant public and media attention as it unfolded across various routes within the Barajala constituency.In his address to the press, Saha expressed concerns over the current political climate, alleging that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is fostering divisions among the populace.

He remarked that Congress aims to counteract these divisive politics by prioritizing peace and inclusive progress. “The BJP-led government has largely abandoned the promises on which it was elected, both at the national and state levels,” Saha asserted, highlighting issues with the current administration, particularly around law and order.Saha also emphasized that Congress’ vision for the state centers on advancing development and fostering a society grounded in secularism and unity.

He voiced confidence that the solidarity march demonstrated Congress’ commitment to restoring these values. Starting from the Barajala Block Congress office, the procession proceeded through multiple routes, drawing noticeable support from local activists and residents.
