Agartala, 21st July 2026: Signalling a renewed focus on strengthening its grassroots organisation ahead of future political challenges, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has unveiled a revamped state committee in Tripura, promoting a blend of experienced leaders and emerging faces to key organisational posts.
The new team, announced by BJP Tripura President and MLA Abhishek Debroy, takes immediate effect following approval from the party’s national leadership. According to the official order, the appointments were made after consultations with senior BJP leaders and have been communicated to National General Secretary (Organisation) B.L. Santosh, State Prabhari Dr. Rajdeep Roy and State General Secretary (Organisation) G.R. Raju.


One of the highlights of the reshuffle is the induction of several fresh faces into prominent positions. Arindam Deb has been appointed president of the BJP Yuva Morcha, while Mousumi Das will head the Mahila Morcha. Abhijit Debbarma has been named president of the ST Morcha, Bapi Das will lead the SC Morcha, Sukanta Ghosh the OBC Morcha, Pradip Baran Roy the Kisan Morcha and Billal Mia the Minority Morcha.
The reconstituted State Executive Committee also reflects a balance between continuity and change. Six leaders—Tapas Bhattacharya, Amit Rakshit, Ratan Ghosh, Uttara Debbarma, Tapas Majumder and Ajanta Bhattacharjee—have been appointed as Vice-Presidents.
MLA Bhagaban Ch. Das, Bipin Debbarma and Chandan Debnath have been entrusted with the responsibilities of General Secretaries. The party has also appointed Bhumika Nanda Reang, Kamal Dey, Nabadal Banik, Mimi Majumder, Malina Debnath and Rathindra Jamatia as Secretaries.
Nagadhiraj Datta has been named Treasurer, M.K. Nath will serve as Joint Treasurer, while Mihir Sarkar has been appointed Office Secretary.
With the new organisational setup in place, the BJP aims to expand its cadre base, energise its grassroots network and strengthen coordination across the state ahead of upcoming political and organisational activities.
