Agartala, 5th April 2026: Despite gloomy skies and adverse weather conditions, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) staged a massive bike rally in Dharmanagar today to boost support for its candidate, Jahar Chakraborty, in the upcoming assembly by-election.
The rally began at 12:30 p.m. from the BBI ground and was led by key party figures, including Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) state president and MLA Sushanta Dev, state minister and Dharmanagar by-election in-charge Sudhangshu Das, state vice-president Tapas Bhattacharjee, candidate Jahar Chakraborty, Bishwarik Bhattacharjee, Dr. Tomojit Nath, Kajal Das, and Joyjit Sharma, along with several district and state-level youth leaders.
The colorful procession wound its way through major roads of Dharmanagar town and surrounding villages before concluding back in the town. Thousands of enthusiastic youth workers participated, chanting slogans and showcasing party strength.
