Agartala, July 26, 2022: Pradesh Congress Seva Dal on Tuesday organized a ‘Tiranga’ march from Congress Bhavan strongly opposing the ED’s interrogation of Congress president Sonia Gandhi in the National Herald case.
Leading the procession, Pradesh Congress president Birajit Sinha said All India Congress president Sonia Gandhi is being framed in a false case to satisfy political revenge. Therefore, Congress workers and supporters have come out in strong protest against the central government’s political machinations. Like the rest of the country, the state of Tripura continues to strongly oppose the Congress.
“As per the instructions of the All India Congress, it has been decided to hold the Satyagraha program at Gandhighat on Tuesday. Later, Congress workers and supporters marched to Gandhighat area and participated in Satyagraha”, he added.
Sinha also said that the government is attacking the people of the country with one dictatorial decision after another and because of this, the Congress is organizing a movement across the country, Congress president Sonia Gandhi and former president Rahul Gandhi are trying to be framed in a false case but the autocratic rule will not last long. Congress will fight inch by inch against BJP and will make the country free from autocracy. He said that Congress will fight strongly for this.
MLA Sudip Roy Barman, who was present at the Satyagraha program, said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government has understood that nothing can be done in this way. So the ruling party is trying to pretend themselves as saint and opposition as the thief. But the BJP-led government will not be able to smear the Congress with such a conspiracy.
Roy Barman expressed the opinion that the countrymen have understood it clearly. BJP is misusing its political power. People should unite and fight against this fascist government. Only Congress can show the right direction to the country. This government is not listening to the poor farmers and workers. Some capitalists have imposed an undeclared state of emergency in the country to protect their interests. “So the Congress wants to tell the people that the same way the Congress fought against the British, the Congress is ready to taste the freedom of the country. At last Roy Barman called everyone to stand united against BJP”, he added.
Former MLA Asish Kumar Saha, former Pradesh Congress president Gopal Roy and other leaders were also present in the program.
