Agartala, February 16:  Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) organized a massive rally on Friday to express gratitude to the Chief Minister of Tripura, Dr. Manik Saha, and the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, for launching the Chief Minister Jan Arogya Yojana scheme for the people of the state.

The scheme, which was inaugurated by CM Saha on Thursday, aims to provide universal health coverage to all the residents of Tripura, regardless of their income or social status. The scheme is an extension of the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, which covers about five and a half lakh families out of the total seven lakh 75 thousand families in the state.

The rally was held by the Khowai District Committee of the BJP under the leadership of Ramchandra Ghat Mandal. The rally was attended by several senior party leaders, including BJP Khowai District Committee General Secretary Samir Kumar Das, Ramchandra Ghat Mandal President Sanjib Debbarma, Rupam Datta, Manoj Deb, Rupak Ghosh, and others.

The rally started from the Mandal office and passed through the Ramchandraghat market, where the participants raised slogans in praise of CM Saha and PM Modi. They also distributed pamphlets and banners to inform the public about the benefits of the scheme.

After the rally, District General Secretary Samir Das addressed the media and lauded CM Saha for setting a unique example in the field of health in the country. He said that this was the first time in the country that a state government had launched such a comprehensive and inclusive health scheme for its people. He added that the scheme was in line with the BJP’s motto of ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas’.

He also thanked PM Modi for his visionary leadership and support to the state government. He said that the scheme had a budget of Rs. 104 crore and would benefit all the families of workers, employees, traders, and others in the state. He expressed hope that the scheme would improve the health and well-being of the people of Tripura and make them self-reliant.
