Agartala, July 03, 2023: A complaint against the secretary of the Khowai Mandal committee Pintu Roy, for abducting a contractor in broad daylight in the capital was registered at the police station and the incident was published in various newspapers.
Bharatiya Janata Party does not support any criminal activity. As per the instructions of BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharjee and vice-president Tapas Bhattacharjee Pintu Roy has been removed from the post of Khowai Mandal committee secretary for his alleged involvement in the incident.
Moreover, a show cause notice has been issued as to why disciplinary action should not be taken against him for breach of party discipline. The two orders were executed immediately.
BJP state media in-charge in a press communique informed this on Monday.
