Agartala, 14th December 2024: The Tripura BJP is set to convene its core committee meeting on December 15 to deliberate on the party’s future strategies and finalize the selection of Mandal Presidents and the District Committee.
Speaking to former Minister and BJP General Secretary Bhagaban Das confirmed the schedule.
“The Pradesh BJP core committee meeting will take place on December 15. Senior leaders, including Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha, BJP State President and Rajya Sabha MP Rajib Bhattacharya, Lok Sabha MP and former Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb, BJP State In-charge Dr. Rajdeep Roy, and Ravindra Raju, State General Secretary (Org.) for Assam and Tripura, will be in attendance. Discussions will focus on upcoming strategies, organizational tasks, and finalizing the names of Mandal Presidents,” Das said.
He added that the party’s Sangathan Parv (organization drive) has been ongoing for some time.
“In the initial phase, we launched a membership drive and formed new Booth Committees. These tasks are now complete, with booth presidents already appointed. The process of appointing Mandal Presidents is nearing completion, and if all goes according to plan, their names will be announced by December 16. Subsequently, we will form District Committees while strictly adhering to party guidelines,” he explained.
Das also took the opportunity to criticize the CPIM and Congress, accusing them of spreading misinformation against the BJP.
“The law-and-order situation in the state has significantly improved under the BJP government. Our Chief Minister has upheld the rule of law, ensuring the people of Tripura experience genuine democracy. Peace prevails across the state. The opposition is trying to mislead the public with baseless allegations, but the people are wise and will not be deceived. The BJP remains committed to serving the people,” he asserted.
