BY TC News Desk

Agartala, 25th December 2025 :   Tripura Leader of Opposition Jitendra Chaudhury today claimed that BJP workers assaulted CPIM party members and raised threatening slogans during a CPIM event.

Chaudhury stated, “Just as our program was concluding, BJP karyakartas began chanting slogans and physically attacking CPIM workers. In this state, the ruling party cannot tolerate anyone raising public concerns.”

He added, “In front of the police, BJP workers threatened to tear skin and eyes. They didn’t harm anyone physically, but exposed the shame of their leaders, including Ramanagar MLA and Mayor Dipak Majumder.”

The incident reportedly took place near the Police Headquarters while the CPIM event was ongoing. Chaudhury urged citizens of Tripura to recognize the gravity of the situation, saying, “This may sound like a complaint, but it reflects the reality on the ground.”

He further accused the state government of losing control, stating, “The Chief Minister seems unable to manage the state. BJP workers are openly violating rules, the Constitution, and the law, while the Home Minister focuses only on targeting the opposition.”
