BJP will use development as tool to contest in election: Deputy CM

Agartala: November 08. Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma has started BJP’s booth Vijay Abhiyan in Charilam. The Deputy Chief Minister held a day-long organizational meeting at his constituency on Tuesday to make the booth vijay abhiyan a success.

Deputy Chief Minister Dev Varma held an organizational meeting for about ten hours on this day. The meeting started at 11 am at North Charilam Old House. Separate meetings were also held with various Morcha, Shakti in-charges. And later the final meeting held with Mandal committee. While speaking with reporters the minister said that BJP will jump into the election using development as a tool.

“Government schemes will be promoted from door to door and people will be made aware of why they need BJP government in the coming days”, he said.Besides, the Deputy Chief Minister stressed the importance of publicizing the work done in Charilam in five years. “After the establishment of the BJP government, the infrastructure development in Charilam has been extensive. Charilam has got two new petrol pumps along with mini stadium, new building of Charilam Class XII School, gym center for physical exercise, state of the art indoor badminton court. Street lights are installed in every rural area”, the minister said.

The Deputy Chief Minister stressed into the importance of promoting them by going to the booth. District president Supriya Das Dutta held a meeting with ordinary citizens of some booths of Charilam mandal that night. On this day, 30 voters left CPM and joined BJP in booth number 25 of Kamalasagar Assembly. BJP District President Gauranga Bhowmik, Mandal President Subir Chowdhury welcomed them.
