BJP’s 46th Foundation Day: MP Rajib Bhattacharjee holds ‘Gram Chalo Abhiyan’ at Barjala

Agartala, 8th April 2025:   The 4-Barjala mandal organized an organizational meeting on Sunday at the Surendra Debnath Smriti Community Hall in Lankamura as part of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s week-long ‘Gram Chalo Abhiyan.’ The initiative celebrates the party’s 46th foundation year.

Speaking to reporters, Rajiv Bhattacharya reflected on the party’s journey since its inception on April 6, 1980. “The Bharatiya Janata Party began with the promise of public service. After 45 years, we are now entering our 46th year, and this milestone is being marked with various programs across the state,” he said.

Highlighting the activities undertaken during the ‘Gram Chalo Abhiyan,’ Bhattacharya added, “Flag hoisting, conferences with officials, and promotion of the development works of the central and state governments are being carried out in various mandals and booth offices. These efforts aim to present the history, ideology, and successes of the party to the people.”

He emphasized the significance of the meeting organized by Barajala Mandal No. 4, stating, “This gathering is part of the larger program to spread the party’s ideology among workers and outline upcoming initiatives.”

Bhattacharjee was accompanied by party’s state Vice President Tapas Bhattacharjee, former MLA Dr Dilip Das, Mandal President Rajib Saha and other BJP karyakartas’.
