Agartala, July 19, 2022: Before the arrival of the union minister of state Pratima Bhoumik at Kaichakola area under Dhanpur assembly constituency, black flags and placards displaying ‘Go Back Pratima Bhowmik’ was posted in different lanes of the entire village.

However, it is not known who put up black flags and posters. Residents of the area noticed this sudden incident from Saturday morning. It is noted that the Dhanpur Assembly constituency is the birthplace of Union Minister Pratima Bhowmik.

Even in the last 2018 assembly elections, she was a candidate for the Bharatiya Janata Party from this constituency and was defeated by the current leader of the opposition, Manik Sarkar. But later she won the Lok Sabha elections and got a seat in the Union Cabinet. But such incidents against her in her birthplace and assembly constituency on Saturday caused a lot of negative reaction in the public mind.
