Agartala, 11th January 2026: A one-day triennial conference and a special blood donation camp were organized today at Jolaibari Community Hall under the initiative of the South District branch of the Health Department Employees’ Association. The program, blending national service with social responsibility, generated widespread enthusiasm among participants.
The event was inaugurated by the Minister of PTG and Minority Development Department, Shukla Charan Noatia, who lit the ceremonial lamp and delivered an inspiring address. Highlighting the importance of voluntary blood donation, the minister said: “There is no substitute for blood. A single unit of blood can save multiple lives. Remember, those who donate blood are not merely giving blood—they are offering selfless service.” He urged people from all sections of society to come forward regularly for blood donation and lauded the association’s noble initiative.
During the conference, a 21-member full committee was formed. Distinguished guests present included Jolaibari Panchayat Samiti Chairman Shri Tapas Dutta, State President of the Employees’ Association Shri Dipen Bhowmik, Chairman of the Standing Committee on Education, Health and Tourism Shri Shambhu Manik, State President of the Association Shri Biplab Kar, and South District Secretary Shri Samar Sarkar, among others.
The program began with floral tributes to the portrait of Bharat Mata, reflecting the spirit of national service. The blood donation camp witnessed 29 voluntary donors, setting a remarkable example of humanity and compassion.
