Agartala: August 18. A young man named Bijay Sutradhar, aged 28, has tragically passed away due to excessive consumption of brown sugar. Bijay was a resident of the Joynagar Mahaveer Club area and was known for his frequent use of brown sugar, often spending time near the floating pool in the Battala area. On a Friday morning around 11:30 a.m., pedestrians discovered Bijay’s lifeless body lying at the side of the road under the flyover in Battala.
Swiftly, they notified the nearby Battala police outpost. Responding promptly, the police arrived at the scene and recovered the body. To ascertain the cause of death, the body was subsequently transported to GB Hospital for a post-mortem examination. The autopsy will play a crucial role in determining the exact cause of Bijay’s demise. Preliminary police investigations suggest that his consistent use of brown sugar might have led to a drug overdose, possibly contributing to his untimely death.
