Agartala, 23rd February 2025:   A civic action program was organized in Kalsimura by the initiative of BSF Battalion No. 49. The event took place on Sunday at 11 AM on the grounds of Nagar XII Class School, drawing significant participation from local residents and officials.

The program was graced by the presence of BSF Battalion No. 49 Commandant Shri Ajit Kumar, Battalion 2IC Anand Arju, Deputy Commandant Gaurav Kumar, Kalsimura Panchayat President Anita Biswas, Deputy Chief Mohammad Russell, and other administrative officials.

Addressing the gathering, Commandant Ajit Kumar emphasized the importance of cooperation between the Border Security Force (BSF) and the local populace in ensuring national security. He stated that the support of the people living in border areas is crucial for the effective functioning of BSF personnel. Without local cooperation, soldiers face significant challenges in fulfilling their duties.

Recognizing the struggles of underprivileged students, BSF distributed various educational and sports equipment among students from different classes of Nagar XII Class School. Additionally, the event aimed to support the local community by providing essential equipment to young men, women, and elderly residents of the village. In total, twenty-two types of items were distributed to the beneficiaries.
