BTVM marked Tagore’s 164th birth anniversary with series of week-long festivities

Agartala, 9th May 2025:  “The world speaks to me in colours, my soul answers in music.” The ‘Rabindra Utsav 2025’ started on May 02 to celebrate 164th birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore in BTVM. There was week-long events and competitions on solo song, solo dance, duet dance, fusion dance in different slabs.

On 9th May Rabindra Jayanti was celebrated by primary and secondary section of the School through different programs. In primary section program started at 9 o’ clock in the morning. The chief guest of the program was Subhashis Chaudhuri, vocalist and dramatist. Secondary section program was held at 11 am in MBB Auditorium Hall, chief guest was Ajanta Bardhan Roy, dancer of Tripura.

School’s Principal Swapna Shome emphasised on exploring the works of Kavi Guru. Both the programs were presided over by Debashis Chakraborty, Retd IFS, Chairman, BVB, Agartala Kendra.

A rich cultural program was witnessed along with prize distribution for the events held on seven days of Rabindra Utsav. Rabindra Utsav showcased the creative and cultural part of India’s rich culture which Bhavans always inculcates. Bhavanites paid their tribute to the nobel laureate by their performances in instruments, songs, dances, recitation, drama, Geeti Alekhya, Shruti natak, etc.
