Agartala, 2nd September 2026 : A daring burglary was reported from the residence of Abhishek Saha, situated close to the East Agartala Police Station, late Tuesday night. According to Saha’s wife, the family was asleep when burglars allegedly locked the main door from outside, preventing them from leaving the house. The intruders reportedly climbed to the roof using the staircase and stole several items, including the gas pipe connected to an air-conditioning unit.
The theft came to light Wednesday morning when Saha’s uncle-in-law noticed the missing items and alerted the family. CCTV footage later showed a person leaving the premises at night carrying a bag. The family said a similar burglary had recently occurred at Saha’s elder brother’s house, raising concerns over repeated thefts in the area.
